Engaged initially in a consultancy role, we surveyed and reported the condition of the windows to the client. Upon being appointed the specialist sub-contractor, we began executing the required works as set out in our report. This included restoration to the stained glass to the west and leaded lights to the east, inclusive of new wire guarding. Both the north and the south aisles, required a range of conservation techniques to the leaded lights, which were carried out in conjunction with other works. During the programme we held a studio visit open to the architect, client, design team and main contractor, to showcase the traditional methods behind stained glass restoration, specifically to their project.
