Polycarbonate Sheet
We use the highest quality 6mm thick
clear polycarbonate sheet which is protected from ultraviolet light
to prevent yellowing with exposure to sunlight. Polycarbonate sheet
is extremely tough and durable, used for police riot shields polycarbonate
sheet is literally bullet proof. The polycarbonate sheet is cut to
fit each window individually and secured directly to the masonry
using durable stainless steel fixings allowing for easy removal in
order to access the window for cleaning or maintenance. Polycarbonate
sheet offers the maximum protection while remaining unobtrusive and
admitting the maximum amount of light to the window, preserving the
beauty and luminosity of stained glass when viewed from the buildings
interior.
Wire Guards
Wire guards are sometimes preferred as
a more traditional means of protecting valuable windows. Easthope
Studios supply and fit wire guards manufactured from stainless or
galvanised steel mesh which are secured directly to the masonry using
durable stainless steel fixings.
